Apology

She sat by yourself in a secluded parking lot, letting the light breeze brush up against her skin.  She closed her eyes and listened to the silence.  Her mind wandered, thinking of things that happened in the past and ones which recently occurred.  This was a regular routine for her.

She knew deep down in her gut that she would never receive an apology.  Coming to terms with that would help her move on, to stop waiting for something she would never get.  Forgiveness would be difficult, indeed.

This is how her life would be from now on - it was certain.  Relationships changed, friendships changed.  She wasn't okay with it, but it was out of her hands.
